Scope of a brick tile
It is almost universally used for facing facade walls of residential and public buildings and their socles. Indoors, this tile is also used for wall decoration or the allocation of individual zones, the design of window and doorways, fireplaces, stairs. Clinker tiles are excellent for finishing bathrooms, pools and even saunas, due to their moisture resistance. Types of clinker tiles
In addition to the widest range of colors (coloring tiles is done only with the help of natural harmless dyes), the tile can have a different texture:
- smooth;
- rough
- glossy (glazed);
- rustic (texture of roughly hewn stone).
The colors of the tiles vary widely based on the basic ones: white, yellow, red, brown, orange. The tile looks amazing with a shade complementary to the main color, or “aged”, which is specially sprinkled with coal during the production process, as a result of which, during its firing, the necessary effect is obtained. For the decoration of stairs, tiles are available with special “beaks”, this looks much more aesthetically pleasing than when they are missing.
The sizes of the tiles also have different variations, usually square - 300x300 mm, 240x240 mm, rectangular (brick-like) - 240x 115 mm, 215x65 mm with a tile thickness of 65 to 12 mm, or 13 - 20 mm.
A few nuances in the work
In order for the tile to serve for a long time and not crumble after a short time, it is necessary to choose the correct adhesive compositions, for street work this must necessarily be frost-resistant glue. When laying, the brick tile must be moistened with water so that it does not draw moisture from the adhesive.
Carrying out all the stages of installation correctly and following a few recommendations when working with clinker tiles, in the end you can get a wonderful and durable decor for your home, which also performs protective and thermal insulation functions.
